The following individuals were arrested and booked into the Carter County Detention Center over the past week. This list includes local arrests only. It does not include federal inmates being housed at or transported through the detention center.

  • Sierra Christiansen, 36, of Olive Hill, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of first degree strangulation, and fourth degree assault (domestic violence) no visible injury, arrested and booked on July 5.
  • Leslie Bailey, 44, of Olive Hill, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of receiving stolen property of $10,000 or more, third degree trafficking in a controlled substance – first offense (drug unspecified), possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to appear, arrested and booked on July 5.
  • Gregory Cooper, 39, of Olive Hill, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, no registration receipt, no registration plates, operating on a suspended or revoked license, failure to wear seat belts, and rear license not illuminated, arrested July 5, booked July 6.
  • Michael Varga, 27, of Morehead, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, on a charge of fourth degree assault (child abuse), arrested and booked on July 6.
  • Chanda Rogers, 34, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on a charge of fourth degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury, arrested and booked on July 6.
  • Rodney Clevenger, 44, of Morehead, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on a charge of violation a Kentucky Emergency Protective Order/Domestic Violence Order, arrested and booked on July 6.
  • Travis Plummer, 26, of Olive Hill, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of first degree assault, and the serving of a parole violation warrant, arrested and booked on July 6.
  • Brittany DeHart, 27, of Olive Hill, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of theft by unlawful taking – automobile – $10,000 or more but under $1,000,000, public intoxication on a controlled substance other than alcohol, first degree possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, first degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), theft by unlawful taking – $500 or more but under $10,000, arrested and booked on July 6.
  • Johnny McDowell, 38, of Olive Hill, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of theft by unlawful taking – automobile – $10,000 or more but under $1,000,000, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first degree fleeing and evading police, arrested and booked on July 6.
  • Devan Ray Burchette, 30, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of contempt of court – libel/slander – resistance to order, and probation violation for a felony offense, arrested and booked on July 6.
  • Brittany Hamm, 30, of Olive Hill, arrested by Kentucky State Police on three counts of probation violation for a felony offense, arrested and booked on July 6.
  • Justin Burchett, 29, of Carter City, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of contempt of court – libel/slander – resistance to order, and failure to appear, arrested and booked on July 6.
  • Kyle Lawson, 28, of Olive Hill, arrested by Olive Hill PD, on a charge of non-payment of court costs/fees/or fines, arrested and booked on July 7.
  • Clarence Stone, 42, of Madisonville, arrested by Grayson PD, on three counts of failure to appear, arrested and booked on July 7.
  • Kadin Criswell, 24, of Grayson, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of failure to wear seat belts, possession of marijuana, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence, arrested and booked on July 7.
  • Roy Bush, 46, of Grayson, arrested by Boyd County Jail, on a charge of failure to appear, arrested April 13, booked July 8.
  • Rita Tackett, 57, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on two counts of failure to appear, arrested and booked on July 8.
  • George Mauk, 45, of Grayson, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure to maintain required insurance, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle, failure to notify department of transportation of address change, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, failure to produce insurance card, and failure to appear, arrested and booked on July 8.
  • Christy Wilson, 42, of Shelbyville, arrested by Boyd County Jail, on a charge of failure to appear, arrested July 5, booked July 8.
  • Nathan Blake Rogers, 21, of Olive Hill, arrested by Olive Hill PD, on charges of fourth degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury, arrested and booked on July 9.
  • Joseph Maes, 51, of Olive Hill, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, on charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first degree possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia, arrested and booked on July 9.
  • Nicole Haywood, 33, of Raleigh, WV, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance – carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives, first degree trafficking in a controlled substance – opiates, trafficking in heroin, first degree trafficking in methamphetamine (two grams or less), first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified), importing drugs (carfentanil, fentanyl, or fentanyl derivatives), importing heroin, endangering the welfare of a minor, operating a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, failure to wear seat belts, failure to produce insurance card, and second degree disorderly conduct, arrested and booked on July 9.

  • Justin Parker, 37, of Olive Hill, arrested by Olive Hill PD, on charges of failure to appear, failure to or improper signal, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked license, failure to maintain required insurance, and improper registration plate, arrested and booked on July 10.
  • Amber Mitchell, 34, of Olive Hill, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, on charges of theft of identity of another without consent, and impersonating a public servant, arrested and booked on July 10.
  • James Travis, 53, of Olive Hill, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on two charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, arrested July 10, booked July 11.
  • Estill Stamper, 50, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on two counts of failure to appear, arrested and booked on July 11.
